/volume¶
Script-provided
Registered by volume. Start it with /lua run volume.
Syntax¶
/volume <0-100>
/volume mute
/volume
Description¶
Read or set EverQuest II's live master volume from a slash command, without
opening the options window. /volume 50 sets it to 50%, /volume mute sets it
to 0, and bare /volume prints the current value.
Subcommands¶
| Command | What |
|---|---|
/volume <0-100> |
Set master volume to that percentage. Values are clamped to the 0–100 range. |
/volume mute |
Shorthand for /volume 0. |
/volume |
Print the current master volume. |
How it works¶
The real work lives in lib/audio.lua, which resolves the game's master-volume
field via eq2.mem.scan + rip_target and reads/writes it with the generic
eq2.mem primitives. This script is just the slash-command front end. If the
signature can't be resolved, the command fails soft — it prints
could not read master volume (signature unresolved) or set failed rather
than doing anything to the client.
