/autoparty

Script-provided

Registered by autoparty. Start it with /lua run autoparty.

Syntax

/autoparty
/autoparty on | off
/autoparty form
/autoparty invite <name>
/autoparty arm
/autoparty allow | unallow | member | unmember <name>
/autoparty allowpeers | memberpeers
/autoparty list | reload

Description

Form and join groups across a box farm hands-free. The leader invites every character on its invite list; each follower auto-accepts group invites from names on its allow list. Built for multiboxing — one command forms the whole group.

Ships armed and disabled

Both name lists ship empty and the script starts off. Nothing is invited or accepted until you turn it on with /autoparty on and populate the lists.

Subcommands

Command What
/autoparty Show status (enabled/armed, peer count, queued invites, both lists).
on / off Enable / disable. The poll and peer mesh keep running while off; it just won't invite or accept.
form Leader: invite everyone on the invite list (or every connected peer), and arm them all to accept.
invite <name> Leader: invite one name now, and arm them.
arm Follower: hand-arm the accept for a short grace window — accept the next invite even without a leader broadcast.
allow <name> / unallow <name> Add / remove a name on the accept-from list (saved).
member <name> / unmember <name> Add / remove a name on the invite list (saved).
allowpeers / memberpeers Snapshot every connected peer into the accept-from / invite list (saved).
list Show both lists.
reload Re-read config/autoparty.lua from disk.
dump Dump the live invite popup's control tree (diagnostics).

How it works

  • The leader fires /invite <name> at each character it wants, and broadcasts an "arm" over the peer mesh so those followers know an invite is coming.
  • A follower, once armed, accepts the invite popup with the client's own /ac (accept) command — the game's own accept, not a synthetic button click.
  • Arming is time-boxed: a follower only auto-accepts for a short grace window after a leader broadcast (or a manual /autoparty arm), then stops listening.

The two name lists are shared per box via config/autoparty.lua: ALLOW is who this character will accept invites from, and MEMBERS is who this character invites when it leads. The /autoparty subcommands regenerate that file, so keep your own notes elsewhere or re-add them after /autoparty reload.

/ac is a loaded gun

/ac accepts whatever confirm is currently up, and it takes no control name, so the accept can't verify what it's confirming the way a named button press can. The time-boxed arming and the accept-from list are the whole defence — keep the allow list tight, and leave the script off when you're not forming groups.
