/mapradar¶
Script-provided
Registered by mapradar. Start it with /lua run mapradar.
Syntax¶
/mapradar [toggle] | on | off | show | hide | prime
Description¶
Draws live spawns radar-style onto EverQuest II's own minimap and full map,
colored by type — the same classification as /navmap: PCs green,
mobs red, named orange, pets cyan, NPCs grey.
Unlike /navmap, which draws its own overlay window, mapradar paints directly
onto the game's map windows ("Map" and "Map2" — the minimap and full map are
separate live instances). It never writes game state and draws nothing when a map
is closed or a read faults.
Subcommands¶
| Subcommand | What |
|---|---|
toggle |
Show/hide the radar's own settings window. (Bare /mapradar does the same.) |
on / off |
Enable / disable drawing. |
show / hide |
Force the settings window open / closed. |
prime |
Toggle the map once so its show/hide events register with the radar — run this after zoning if markers stop drawing. |
Use the settings window to choose which spawn types are drawn and whether the radar paints the minimap, the full map, or both.
Calibration¶
The minimap and full map can sit at different zoom levels, so each calibrates its own scale (pixels per world unit) live, from how far its you-are-here marker moves as you walk. Each needs a few steps of movement before its markers line up.
Examples¶
/lua run mapradar
/mapradar prime # after a zone, if markers stop showing
/mapradar off
