/jidou

Script-provided

Registered by jidou (alias /jd). Start it with /lua run jidou.

Syntax

/jidou pause|mode|assist|target|camphere|campon|chaseon|fightto|followclose|...
/jidou set <setting> <value> | get <setting> | list | toggle <setting>

Description

jidou is clockwork's RGMercs-style combat automation — a class-configurable rotation and assist engine with a settings UI, per-character class profiles, a puller/camp system, and peer relay built in. A port of RGMercs adapted to EverQuest II.

Also answers to the short alias /jd.

Two combat systems

clockwork ships two rotation engines. /gyonin is the older, self-contained per-class rotation. jidou is the larger, actively developed RGMercs port with a full settings UI and class-config framework; it is what most recent combat work targets. Run whichever suits you — don't run both on the same character.

Windows

  • show — Toggle the jidou status window.
  • options — Toggle the settings/options window.

Class rotations, priorities, and per-pass on/off toggles are edited in these windows. Each row of the rotation order is its own priority pass with its own On checkbox, so you can reorder and enable/disable passes without editing Lua. Settings changed in the UI are persisted per character.

Settings

jidou keeps a registry of named settings, persisted to a per-character config database.

  • set <setting> <value> — Set a setting (persisted).
  • get <setting> — Print a setting's current value.
  • list — List every registered setting and its current value.
  • toggle <setting> — Flip a boolean setting.
  • tempset <setting> <value> — Set until restart or cleartempset.
  • cleartempset <setting> — Revert one temp setting to its saved value.
  • cleartempall — Revert all temp settings.

Role & targeting

  • mode [assist|tank] — Set the targeting/role mode.
  • assist <name> — Set the main assist.
  • target <id> — Force a target by spawn id (0 clears).
  • ignore <id> / unignore <id> — Manage the target ignore list.
  • deny [name] — Add a mob name to the persistent per-zone deny list (uses your current target if no name is given).
  • undeny <name> — Remove a name from the zone deny list.
  • cleardeny — Clear the current zone's deny list.
  • spawns — Dump the current proximity + combat lists to the log.

Raid roles

  • role [tags...] — Set this character's raid-role tags (e.g. tank, curer, lever1); no args prints the current tags. Roles travel to every peer in the heartbeat, so any box can address them.
  • dgr <role> <cmd> — Run a command on every peer tagged with <role>, including this box if it holds the role too.

Quest automation

/jidou quest, its subcommands, and questpackage drive jidou's quest auto-completer against per-quest step files.

  • quest [<name|id>] — Select a quest by name or id; no arg shows status. Follow with queststart.
  • queststart — Start (or resume) the selected quest.
  • queststop — Stop the runner; state is kept so queststart resumes.
  • queststatus — Print the runner state and current objective.
  • questlist [filter] — List available quests, optionally filtered by name/category.
  • questreload — Re-read the selected quest's step file from disk.
  • questskip — Manually advance the stage cursor by one (debug/override).
  • questpackage [<name>] — Select a quest package (an ordered bundle run back to back); no arg shows package status.
  • questpackagelist [filter] — List available quest packages.
  • questpackageskip — Skip the current quest in the package and move to the next one.
  • questpackageclear — Clear the selected package (back to single-quest mode).

Triggers

A built-in triggers module — its own Triggers tab in the jidou status window (/jidou show) — watches for an event and fires an action. Sources: Chat text, My HP drops below <n>%, and I get a detriment (Any/Arcane/Noxious/Elemental/Trauma/Curse). The HP and detriment sources are polled with a rising-edge latch — a trigger fires once on onset and re-arms only after the condition clears. Actions include running a command on this box, running a command on every other box (cmd_others), printing to the console, and pausing/resuming jidou.

  • trigtest <text> — Feed a fake chat line through the triggers (any channel) to test them.
  • triggers [on|off] — Toggle (or set) the triggers master switch.

Overlaps LEM

/lem also reacts to chat lines from its own event editor. Use whichever fits how you already work — the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Camp & movement

campon and chaseon are opposite modes — each turns its own behavior on and the other off:

  • campon — Camp mode. Sets camp at your current location, turns on return-to-camp, and turns off chase. After combat settles, the character walks back to within Camp Return Distance (default 5) of the camp center. Broadcast it (/jidou dga campon) to have the whole group hold formation — each box pins its own current spot.
  • chaseon — Chase mode. Turns on chase/follow, turns off camp (clears the camp position and return-to-camp), so the character follows the Main Assist with no fixed anchor.
  • camphere — Set the camp position to your current location (leaves the chase/return toggles alone).
  • campoff — Clear the camp position (also stops any return-to-camp).
  • fightto <x> <y> <z> — Move to a location while fighting; fightto cancel stops.
  • followclose <name> [dist] — Close-follow a peer via beacon (no navmesh). off stops. The leader must be running navbeacon or gyonin. Follows in 3D in the air and underwater — see /nav followclose.
  • melee [on|off] — Toggle melee combat movement.

Pausing

  • pause [on|off|toggle] — Pause/unpause the main loop.
  • citypause [on|off|toggle] — Auto-pause when zoning into city zones.

Peer relay

jidou can drive its peers directly, the same family as the top-level /dg* commands:

  • dex <peer> <cmd> — Run a command on one peer (peer key is Name (Server)).
  • dga <cmd> — Run on all peers.
  • dge <cmd> — Run on all peers except this client.
  • dgg <group> <cmd> — Run on every peer in a named group.
  • query <peer> <field> — Query a fixed field (hp/zone/level/ target/…) from a peer.

Housekeeping

  • help — List all /jidou commands.
  • version — Print the jidou version.
  • quit — Cleanly stop jidou (flushes settings).

Examples

/lua run jidou
/jidou options # open the settings window
/jidou mode assist
/jidou assist Maintank
/jidou camphere
/jd pause # pause the main loop
/dge /lua run jidou # start it on every other box
