Description

Automates Overseer quests on autopilot — completes finished quests, keeps the Heritage Hunt quest alive, and starts new quests within the daily budget.

dryrun is ON by default

The script logs and plans but presses nothing until you run /overseer dryrun off. Nothing cancels a quest or touches Station-Cash "clear cooldown" buttons regardless of dryrun state.

Subcommands

Subcommand What
(no arg) Print status: level, daily count, Heritage Hunt state, the agent reserve, every quest and agent, and the current plan.
plan Show what auto would do right now, touching nothing — the dryrun report without enabling auto.
complete Complete every finished quest (Heritage Hunt first). Respects dryrun.
start Start the planned quests, respecting the agent and daily reserves. Respects dryrun.
hh Run just the Heritage Hunt stage once: complete it, use the respawn item, restart it.
auto on\|off Toggle fully automatic mode — runs the whole policy whenever something is due.
dryrun on\|off Toggle dryrun — when on, the script only logs and plans; when off, it actually presses buttons.
ui on\|off Toggle the ImGui status panel.
open / close Open or close the in-game Overseer window.
set <key> <value> Change a config value live and save it. See Config keys below.
pin <name> Toggle a quest-name pattern in the pin list (pinned quests start before others).
skip <name> Toggle a quest-name pattern in the skip list (skipped quests are never started).
exclude <name> Toggle an agent name/id in the never-assign list.
reload Reload the saved config from disk.
save Save the current config to disk.

The policy

The scheduler (lib/overseer_sched.lua) drives every decision:

  1. Complete finished quests, Heritage Hunt first.
  2. Restart Heritage Hunt: use the respawn item → start the quest again.
  3. Start startable quests — rarest agent assignments first — without spending the daily slots or agents held back for Heritage Hunt (reserve_daily, reserve_agents).

The script reads the daily quests remaining directly from the open Overseer window. Because the count is only visible while the window is open, it caches the last live value for the current local day so the cap still applies while the window is closed.

Config keys

Set with /overseer set <key> <value> (saved per character to config/overseer/<Character>/settings.lua):

Key Default What
dryrun true Log/plan without pressing.
auto false Run the full policy whenever something is due.
close_after true Close the game window after each automated job.
hh_name "Heritage Hunt" Quest-name pattern for the protected daily slot.
hh_item "" Respawn item name ("" = auto-detect from hh_name).
reserve_agents 2 Agents held back for Heritage Hunt.
reserve_daily 1 Daily slots held back for Heritage Hunt.
cooldown_s 3600 Agent cooldown estimate (seconds) used for reserve projection.
reserve_margin 120 Safety margin (seconds) before the Heritage Hunt deadline.
poll_interval 30 Max seconds between passes in auto mode.
max_starts 0 Max quests started per pass (0 = only the daily cap limits).
min_bonus 0 Skip quests whose base bonus % is below this threshold.
max_mishap 100 Skip quests whose base mishap % is above this threshold.
