/cwcollect¶
Script-provided
Registered by collectibles. Start it with /lua run collectibles.
Syntax¶
/cwcollect
/cwcollect stop
/cwcollect status
Description¶
Scan your bags for collectibles, examine each one, and press the Journal's
Add button for every item that can be added to a collection. Loading the
script only registers the command — it does not scan until you run /cwcollect.
Why /cwcollect and not /collect
/collect is a live EverQuest II command, so this one is named /cwcollect
to avoid shadowing it.
Subcommands¶
| Command | What |
|---|---|
/cwcollect (or run) |
Scan the bags and add everything addable. |
stop |
Abort the pass in progress after the current item. |
status |
Show whether a pass is running and what it's doing. |
How it works¶
- Detection is silent. Each carried item's examine description is read from
the
ExamineManagercache; a collectible is any item whose description carries the collectible marker. No window is opened just to classify an item — descriptions still missing from the cache are primed with a single network round-trip. - Adding is UI-driven, mirroring the manual flow: examining an item makes the client open the Journal on its Collections tab; if the item is addable an Add button appears, and the script presses it with a real native click.
- It re-scans the bags after each add — adding consumes the item and shifts every later item's slot — and waits for the added item to actually leave the bags before moving on.
- At the end of the pass it closes the Journal and reports how many items were added and skipped.
A "skipped" item is the normal case for a collectible you already have or one that belongs to a collection you haven't started.
Add only, never spend
The button search will only ever press a control that looks like Add, and a hard veto list blocks anything named delete/destroy/remove/buy/ purchase/sell/marketplace even if it somehow matched — so a pass can add collectibles but can never destroy an item or spend station cash.
Live smoke pending
A few live-unknowns (the exact collectible marker phrasing, the Journal window name, and how the Add button is identified) ship as best-guesses that a single recon pass pins down. If a pass finds nothing addable when it should, that's the first place to look.
