/autoloot

Script-provided

Registered by autoloot. Start it with /lua run autoloot.

Syntax

/autoloot <subcommand>

Description

Manage the loot-rule table that drives automatic looting.

Subcommands

Sell/broker rules are global (shared across all your characters) and keyed by item name — "does this item sell / broker" is a property of the item, not who looted it. They persist to config/autoloot/sell_rules.lua.

Subcommand What
keep <item> Loot it and keep it.
broker <item> Loot it, then hold it for broker listing (see putbroker).
sell <item> Loot it; intended for an NPC vendor (see /sellall).
ignore <item> Leave it in the corpse.
destroy <item> Loot it; intended to be destroyed later.
clear <item> Remove the rule (item falls back to the default action).
show <item> Show what auto-loot would do with an item.
rules [action] List every rule, or just those with a given action.
autobroker [Np] [bank] [commit] Auto-tag by market value — see below.
putbroker [dry] Move every Broker-tagged carried item into the open broker box (adds only; price them with /brokerprice to list them).
pause [on\|off] Pause or resume all looting (toggles when no argument is given).
leader Toggle this character's leader/follower role (saved per character) — see below.
need\|greed\|decline <item> Set a per-character loot-roll rule (same table as /nbg).
upgrade [on\|off\|check\|gear\|spells on\|off] The armor/jewelry upgrade Need rule + auto-equip, and spells on\|off for Adept+ scrolls — mirrors /nbg upgrade.
nbg <...> The per-character Need/Greed/Decline surface (/autoloot nbg help).
rewards [on\|off\|check] Toggle or inspect quest reward auto-pick (see below).
help Print subcommand help.

<item> may be a shift-clicked item link, a [bracketed name], or plain text; plain text is matched against the open loot window and your inventory, so a unique partial name works.

Per-character Need / Greed / Decline loot rolls share one table that drives both NBG loot windows and free-for-all looting — set them here with /autoloot need|greed|decline <item> (or /autoloot nbg ...) or with the dedicated /nbg command.

Quest reward choices

When a turn-in opens a "Select one of the following" reward window, autoloot picks the best row using the same upgrade rule NBG uses:

  1. An armor/jewelry upgrade you can wear → ranked by stat gain.
  2. A bag-only upgrade (no stat match but still an improvement) → ranked by gain.
  3. A usable Adept+ spell scroll → ranked by tier.
  4. If no row wins outright, the fallback applies: "first" (default) takes the top row — what a human clicking Receive without picking gets. Set it to "none" to leave the window for manual action.

Toggle with /autoloot rewards on|off. Preview what would be chosen (without pressing anything) with /autoloot rewards check.

Selection is partially confirmed

As of 2026-10-01, the pick logic has been seen working correctly, but non-first row selection is not yet fully confirmed (the first row also happened to be the best). Watch for a MISMATCH in the log the first few times a non-first row is chosen.

Two-handed weapons and plate tanks

The upgrade rule never Needs a two-handed weapon for plate-tank classes (Fighter subclasses that wear plate armor). Plate tanks keep a 1H weapon + shield; a 2H weapon being dropped into the off-hand would break that. The same rule applies in quest reward choice: a 2H weapon row is skipped for a plate tank even if it would otherwise score as an upgrade.

Roles and no-trade items

  • Leader / follower (/autoloot leader toggles, saved per character). The leader opens corpses and chests and loots free-for-all — takes unlisted items plus your Need/Greed rules, leaves Declines — and Greeds NBG windows as a safety net. A follower handles only its own NBG windows and no-trade popups.
  • No-trade / heirloom confirms are auto-accepted by default. Looting such an item pops a confirm ("this will make the item no-trade"); autoloot presses it for you so a farm doesn't stall on the popup. This is the shipped default — turn it off in the script's config if you'd rather confirm by hand.

Auto-tagging by market value

autobroker bridges the /brokerprice price catalog to the Broker tag: it reads every carried item, looks up its lowest market price in brokerprice.catalog.json, and tags anything worth at least Np platinum (default 1p) Broker.

  • It upgrades Sell → Broker and tags untagged items Broker. This is the intended flow: mark your whole inventory Sell, then let autobroker pick out the ones worth listing on the broker instead of vendoring.
  • It never clobbers a deliberate Keep, Ignore, or Destroy rule — those are reported and left as-is.
  • Attuned items go to Sell, not Broker. An attuned item can't be listed on the broker, so autobroker tags it Sell instead — and downgrades Broker → Sell if it was already Broker-tagged. If you hold both an attuned and a non-attuned copy of the same item, the name stays Broker: the fresh copy can still be listed, and putbroker just leaves the attuned copy behind (tags are name-keyed and can't split the stack). Attunement is read from the item's examine data, which isn't always cached: an item whose flag hasn't loaded yet is examined and shown as WAIT — re-run in a moment to tag it once the data arrives (so a maybe-attuned item is never Brokered on a cold cache).
  • Dry-run by default — it only reports what it would change. Add commit to write the tags.
  • Bags only by default. Add bank to include bank items too (they only appear when you're at a banker, and putbroker moves from bags — so a bank-tagged item waits until you withdraw it).

Build the catalog first with /brokerprice catalog. A typical run:

/sellall mark # tag everything Sell
/autoloot autobroker           # dry-run: what would upgrade Sell->Broker
/autoloot autobroker commit # upgrade worth->=1p items to Broker
/autoloot putbroker # move them into the broker box
/brokerprice scan # price them; /sellall vendors the rest
