/autotinker¶
Script-provided
Registered by autotinker. Start it with /lua run autotinker.
Syntax¶
/autotinker start | stop | status
/autotinker filter <substr> | streak <n>
Description¶
A Tinkering skill-up daemon: crafts random recipes at the current tier, watches the skill-up chat signal, and scribes the next Apprentice Blueprints book from your bags once combines stop granting skill — then repeats.
Tinkering has no trainer or quest progression: new recipe tiers only unlock by scribing a Blueprints book you bought or looted separately. This script automates that craft-until-capped → scribe → repeat loop. It loads and starts immediately.
Subcommands¶
| Subcommand | What |
|---|---|
start |
Resume crafting. |
stop |
Pause after the current combine. |
status |
Print current state. |
filter <substr> |
Recipe-name filter (case-insensitive). "" clears it. |
streak <n> |
Combines with no skill-up before it decides the tier is capped and advances. |
How it detects a cap¶
The character's numeric Tinkering skill has never been located in memory, so the
daemon watches the skill-up chat channel for a line naming the craft. It
treats streak consecutive combines with no such line as "capped at this tier"
— the same signal a human tinkerer watches for before buying the next book.
Book ordering
"Apprentice Blueprints" books are consumed on scribe, so the lowest-numbered
copy still in the bags is always the next one in sequence. The default prefix
only covers the Apprentice bracket — edit BOOK_PREFIX in the script for
Journeyman/Adept/etc.
Examples¶
/lua run autotinker
/autotinker streak 8 # advance after 8 no-gain combines
/autotinker status
/autotinker stop
