/trade

Script-provided

Registered by trade. Start it with /lua run trade.

Syntax

/trade <name> [count] ['<item name>'] [coin...] [accept]

Description

Start a player trade and drop items and/or coin into it from one slash command. This is the outgoing counterpart to /autotrade, which presses Accept on the receiving side. /trade opens the trade, adds what you named, and (only if you ask) presses Accept.

Grammar

/trade <name> [count] ['<item name>'] [coin...] [accept]
Part Meaning
<name> Who to trade with. target uses your current target; otherwise it matches a nearby player by name (nearest wins on ties).
count How many of the item to add (default 1).
'<item name>' The item to trade, matched against your bags. Quotes are optional but help when the name contains numbers or coin-like words.
coin... Any number of <num><unit> tokens — p/g/s/c (platinum/gold/silver/copper), e.g. 2p 30g 80s 500c.
accept Opt-in keyword: also press Accept to commit the trade.

Examples

/trade Bob 6 'bear hide backpack'
/trade Bob 'ruined leather pelt' # count defaults to 1
/trade Bob 20 ruined leather pelt # quotes optional
/trade target 6 bear hide backpack # trade the current target
/trade Bob 2p 30g # coin only
/trade Bob 6 'bear hide backpack' 5g # items + coin
/trade Bob 2p accept # also press Accept (opt-in)

Committing the trade

By default /trade fills the trade window but does not commit it, so you can eyeball it first and press Accept yourself. Add the accept keyword to have it press Accept for you, or run /autotrade on the receiving character to auto-accept there.

Coin verbs partly unconfirmed

Platinum is live-confirmed; gold/silver/copper verbs are by analogy. If a coin amount never appears in the trade window, capture the real verbs with /lua run debug/cmdspy and check them.
